About Us

Hunter and Scott early 90's

21 years ago (November 1990) all the brainstorming and wild ideas became a reality.  Hunter Morgan and Scott Murphy, with the help of family and friends, cobbled together a modest amount of money and a hand-full of products, and just like that a dream was born.

Hunter Morgan

Hunter grew up with a love of the West. For more then 16 years he has led many Adventures in his favorite wilderness areas. Getting off the beaten path fly-fishing remote lakes and streams as well as scrambling up peaks are what he enjoys sharing with his old and new friends. Home in the Pee Dee, Hunter and his best friend Kara(wife) are raising their 3 boys in the country. When on the water, he chooses to paddle a canoe. Hunter is a canoe instructor with the American Canoe Association.

Paul has just joined us on staff focusing on our paddle sports. He has “logged” mile after mile navigating our coast, lakes, and rivers. The North Carolina Challenge hosted by Watertribe was his first competitive event in the 2009. He did the Watertribe Ultra Marathon in 2008. Paul has been extensively paddling our coastal waterways in order to put together some exciting new trips. Paul and his beautiful wife Susan enjoy paddling their fleet of boats. Paul’s great love is to share his paddling knowledge with others.
